Dick Hanson Scholarship Fund

• Burnsville High School students and teachers •

Providing graduate school scholarships to outstanding teachers that wish to make a further commitment to their teaching careers through further education.

The Hanson Scholarship was established in 1993 after the retirement of Dick Hanson from Burnsville High School. During his teaching career, he was both inspirational and instrumental in the lives of thousands of former students and athletes. The scholarship was created in his name to be awarded to students who have a desire and passion to enter the teaching profession.

We are proud to be awarding 8 scholarships to seniors from this year’s graduating class. In addition, we will be awarding 3 scholarships to existing teachers seeking post-graduate degrees.

An Annual Hanson Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament is the primary fund raising event for the Fund. The growing success of this event is due to the tremendous support from the local business community. We are proud and honored to have you and your company as part of this very worthwhile non-profit effort!
